It is a true honor to be the ELD Teacher at Mountain Range High School. This 2016-2017 school year marks my 9th year teaching in this wonderful school and my 17th year as an educator.
I was born and raised in Mexico and learned English as a second language when I attended high school in El Paso, TX. After graduation, I took a year off to pursue my love for other cultures and traveled with Up with People to different countries around the world.
After teaching bilingual students in the elementary grades for 7 years, I decided to make a change and teach English as a second (or third... or fourth!) language to international high school students. I am very blessed to say that I LOVE my job! Working with students from different countries from across the globe is truly my passion. Every day I am rewarded by my student's enthusiasm and growth.
On my spare time I enjoy being with my family. My husband, my 4 year old daughter and our three dogs make me the happiest woman alive. We love to travel, go out to eat, spend time with friends and cuddle up in the couch to watch movies. If you'd like to learn more about me, don't hesitate to ask!
