Welcome to the MRHS French Program!  I am delighted to be the French Teacher at Mountain Range High School.  I am a Colorado native and a graduate of Denver Public Schools. I began studying French in eighth grade in the hope of one day traveling to la belle France.  My pursuit of this dream inspired me to major in French at Colorado State University and to study abroad in Nantes, France, through the Institute of European Studies. My passion for the French language and culture led me to pursue graduate studies at Boston College after which I had the opportunity to live in Paris as a pensionnaire étrangère at the École Normale Supérieure in the Latin Quarter. During this year, I also taught English part-time at two collèges (middle schools) in the treizième arrondissement through the French Ministry of Education.

I discovered and fell in love with teaching through my doctoral Teaching Fellowship at Boston College.  My subsequent teaching experience includes positions at the secondary and university levels at both private and public institutions.  My goal as a teacher is to provide students with the linguistic proficiency and cultural background they need in order to have a meaningful and exciting experience—whether personal or professional-- in a Francophone country.  Learn a language and live an adventure! Bon voyage!
