Subject:
Business

I am proud to be the newest member of the Mountain Range High School of Business (HSB) instruction team. This year, I am teaching HSB Principles of Business, Business Economics, Principles of Management, and Business Strategies. I am also a DECA advisor and a certified Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructor. I have an MBA—Marketing and am earning my teaching license through the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Prior to teaching, I worked in several marketing & branding firms across the midwest, started my own business in Broomfield, taught a communications course at MSU-Denver, and went to work directly for a restauranteur client. This is where I helped open and create several restaurant concepts where we won Restaurant Hospitality's 25 Coolest Multi-Concept Companies in the U.S. After several years in the Kansas City area, we decided to move back to Denver Metro where I opened my second business: a marketing consultancy serving small businesses and entrepreneurs. Teaching and mentoring young business and marketing leaders has always been a passion of mine, and I am excited to meet the 2021-22 HSB and DECA students!

I live in Thornton with my husband (Mr. Van Loenen, English teacher at MRHS), and our son who is a 4th grader in the Adams 12 school district.

It's going to be a great year!
