Our Principal

I am so honored to be selected as the Principal of Mountain Range High School.  In 2006, I was selected to be part of the inaugural staff of Mountain Range and I have dedicated my heart and soul to the school ever since.  As a leader, it is my job to foster an environment that is safe and inclusive where all voices can be heard. Decisions are made by doing what is in the best interest of the students and staff to ensure our school is working toward achieving our highest level of success.  It is important that all of our staff believe in the culture we have built and our shared mission at Mountain Range.

A little bit about me. . .this marks my fifteenth year in Adams 12.  I started at Mountain Range as a mathematics teacher and volleyball coach.  I then moved on to become a Dean of Students.  Most recently I was the Assistant Principal in charge of Curriculum and Instruction.  I completed my Bachelors of Arts degree at Hastings College  with a Major in Chemistry.  After college, I became a tutor while coaching volleyball and basketball at Pomona High School.  I went back to school to obtain my teaching credential from Colorado Christian University.  I taught mathematics at Pomona High School for four years before I went back to get my Masters of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix.  I am a member of the Adams 12 community and have 3 children who attend Adams 12 schools.

In our ever changing world, the youth of today are experiencing more social and emotional challenges than ever before.  It is imperative educators have the knowledge and the tools to support our students.  Knowing our students by their strengths and weaknesses, as well as me knowing my staff in this same regard, is the only way we will be able to reach our highest potential.  We need to hear our students’ voices and listen.

I look forward to working with our students, our staff and our community to continue to make Mountain Range an amazing place to be.
